MATT ALLISON

Matt Allison owns and operates Dockyard Studios, his career in the music and recording industry spans over 12 years.

Starting out as a singer-songwriter in the 90's performing in in various bands he has released 3 solo albums which he produced, engineered and mixed, in part or in full, 2 of which have been nominated for prestigious SAMA's (South African Music Awards), spawned a number radio singles, international licensing deals & tours and featured in various TV and video programs.

Along with his personal successes in music Matt has worked alongside international Grammy winning engineers and producers like Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay, Bebo Norman, Caedmon's Call, Farewell Flight), Vance Powell (Martina McBride, Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich, Jewel, Caedmon's Call) and Steve Hindalong (City on a Hill, Leeland, All Star United, Jeremy Camp) assisting on various sessions in the USA.

Back home Matt has also worked on projects with/for the likes of Paris Lucas (Paris Studios), Simon Radcliffe & Koos Turenhout (Sound & Motion Studios), Brian O'Shea (Fetish, Seether and Fevertree), Richard Mitchell (Joyous Celebration, PJ Powers and Bright Blue) and David Langemann (Freshly Ground, Karen Zoid, Delta Blue, Bed on Bricks, The View, Taliep Peterson, David Kramer and Johnny Clegg) and alongside artists like Enmity, Gravity Wins Again, Cabins in the Forest and New Altum.
